Breathing
/ Rachel WarmathHow is your breathing today?
I invite you to slow down for a moment.
Find a comfortable seat, or lay on your back. Close your eyes.
Place one hand over your heart, and one over your belly.
Draw your navel gently toward your spine.
Breathe in, filling up your chest, where your lungs are. Keep drawing the breath in through your nose as you feel your belly expand.
Then, slowly, empty out the belly... and then the chest.
Continue this four-part breath: fill the chest, fill the belly; then empty the belly, empty the chest.
A slow, deep breath.
Even three or four rounds of this breathing can change your whole day.
Namaste.
