Strength During Turbulent Times
/Morgan Harper Nichols is one of my favorite artists, and today I’m sharing some of her beautiful work.
She writes about grief and about growth and I think in this moment her voice best captures some of the things I’ve been feeling in response to the Black Lives Matters movement, the need for change, and the devastating violence that has been happening in our country.
In her book, All Along You Were Blooming, Morgan reminds us to live in the present moment, to find purpose, and to remember the gifts we experience even when there is pain. Thank you, Morgan, for what you put out into the world— it is making a difference, and it has made a difference to me.

Finally, a quote from M.L.K. that has been playing in my head all week:
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.
