Grounding Mantras
/If you are feeling scattered, stressed, or overwhelmed, use your voice to help you.
Use the vibration of sound, and the power of intention.
Try a grounding mantra.
These are some of my favorites lately:
Today’s my day.
I’ll often say this in the morning. Sometimes during my early run or workout. When we start to live believing that TODAY is going to be incredible, things open up.
I can, and I will.
I use this one a lot when running. At the moment when I want to give up, I recite this.
Feel your feet.
If I’m spinning out and my thoughts are all over the place, I remind myself to ground my energy down.
Be kind.
A great mantra when I’m being hard on myself.
Focus on your courage.
If I feel fearful, discouraged, or lost, I’ll remind myself of my courage, and draw my power back.
If you’re interested in working with a traditional Sanskrit mantra… these are a few of my favorites that have a very grounding and calming energy:
Sat Nam
Truth is my name. Sometimes translated as I am truth. Beautiful. I’ll often chant this while running. It has a nice rhythm when you repeat it over and over.
Om
Can’t go wrong bringing in the universal sound! I chant this every day.
Sita Ram
Balances the masculine and feminine, two sides of the body and brain. Invokes spiritual connection and a cleansing flow of energy.
